Poverty robs us of our potential, relinquishes our communities to decay and despair and creates hopelessness among individuals who are unfortunate enough to be born into its class or arrive there by misfortune or disease.

RDA is committed to supporting the efforts of public agencies and non-profit organizations that serve those community members who are most vulnerable — the poor. Rather than merely depending on the poverty rate, RDA examines poverty levels for particular groups to provide a more accurate and instrumental analysis.

The effects of poverty are broad and debilitating not only to the individual but also to the community. At RDA we work with public institutions and non-profit organizations that provide the essential supports and programs to help poor people rise out of poverty and obtain a better life.
