RDA helps Clark County win 1.8 million
RDA worked with Clark County's Department of Community Services and Corrections, community-based providers, and other public agenciesto design a continuum of services for  young adult offenders to ensure successful community reentry and reduce the occurrence of relapse and recidivism. The Clark County model will be organized around a Program for Assertive Community Treatment and utilize two research-based dual diagnosis treatment regimens: the Matrix Model and Seeking Safety. The project will incorporate a broad range of services to effectively address all risk factors for the young adults ages 18-24, including housing and targeted education and employment assistance. All services will be provided using Washington State's version of the Wrap-Around Approach, Individualized and Tailored Care.

RDA assists San Francisco with a plan for the Mental Health Services Act.
RDA helped to facilitate the San Francisco's Community Behavioral Health Services Division planning process and provided support at Task Force, Subcommittee, and Steering Committee meetings. RDA served as the primary planning consultants and helped identify, gather, and analyze the data. Information included position papers, key informant interviews, and training peer interviewers and coordinating the process of interviewing consumers and family members. RDA staff created agendas, took notes, prepared minutes, and prepared briefing materials for Task Force members and the public. RDA staff facilitated planning retreats and weekly meetings of core personnel to help organize the process. RDA was responsible for leading the Task Force in prioritization exercises, and writing the draft plan to be submitted for the State of California.

RDA helps the State of Washington win $2,730,000
RDA worked with consumers, family members, and every Department and Division serving people with mental illness in the State of Washington to design a plan for the transformation of mental health services. The Partnerships for Recovery program, under the leadership of Governor Christine Gregoire, will fundamentally change the way mental health care is provided and the way mental illness is perceived. With consumers and family members as equal partners, Partnerships for Recovery has launched a deep transformation effort to achieve the goals of the President's New Freedom Commission for all people in the State of Washington. During the first year the infrastructure will be built for an on-going process of planning, action, learning, and innovation in mental health care. Key elements will include a social marketing initiative to increase awareness and reduce the stigma of mental illness and strengthening of the statewide infrastructure for consumer and family support.

RDA helps Community Works win federal funds.
RDA worked with Community Works to design a plan to increase the organization's capacity to address the needs of at-risk youth whose lives have been impacted by incarceration through its school-based ROOTS program. The grant will be used to evaluate the services, fine-tune the curriculum, create training and other materials needed to replicate the model nationally, and to establish partnerships to support implementation of ROOTS in Bay Area communities disproportionately impacted by incarceration.

RDA Conducts Large Scale Program Outcome Evaluation for City of San Francisco
San Francisco's Department of Children, Youth and Their Families (www.dcyf.org) administers funds to over 140 community-based organizations and various city departments for a broad range of programs in the areas of early childhood, academic support, enrichment and youth development, health and wellness, youth employment, family support and cultural enrichment. On behalf of DCYF, RDA has just issued 162 organization specific outcome evaluation reports. The evaluation design incorporates the use of a web based data system that permits each organization to enter their client data. The data was used to measure results for a total of 170 outcome measures based on 11 months of data collection. With 162 customized intake forms, as well as scannable client satisfaction surveys translated into seven languages the evaluation relied on multiple points of view to determine quality of services. RDA's evaluation team members assisted each organization in choosing performance measures, and provided training and technical assistance in using the data system. Consumer satisfaction surveys were administered to children and youth and their parents or caregivers, which were then scanned into a database. We also administered staff surveys that focused on organizational cultural competency. Each individualized report contains between 20 and 30 pages of data, with 1600 variables in each report.
